Parejas de noche is a metaphor about the encounter and approach between the viewer and the artwork. These small-format paintings, which in the distance appear to be monochrome, but when approaching reveal layers and glazes of combination of possible shapes and silhouettes.

When the viewer contemplates the artwork, a complicity arises between them, an intimate space where secrets are found, similar to that closeness and intimacy that is generated between a couple at dusk. That same interaction between the spectator and the work, happens between the pieces of this series within the fiction that I propose: they are in intimacy, they drink, they maintain in the silence, they kiss, they recognize each other.

These works are a reflection on introspection and what is hidden in both encounters.
